Saint Juan Diego
Saint Juan Diego was a Mexican indigenous man honored as a Catholic saint. In 1531, he experienced a series of visions of the Virgin Mary, who identified herself as Our Lady of Guadalupe. She asked him to build a church in her honor on a hill in Mexico City. Juan Diego's faith and obedience led to the miraculous hour of roses and the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appearing on his cloak, which still inspires millions today. He is recognized for his humility, devotion, and as a powerful symbol of faith and cultural identity for many, especially in Mexico.
