
Saint Jane Frances de Chantal
Saint Jane Frances de Chantal (1572–1641) was a French Catholic nun and the founder of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, dedicated to serving the sick and poor. Widowed at 20, she dedicated her life to spiritual growth and compassion, emphasizing humility, kindness, and dependence on God. Known for her deep spirituality and strong leadership, she fostered community among women and emphasized the importance of loving God and others in everyday life. Her work helped inspire many to pursue holiness through service and prayer, and she was canonized as a saint in 1767.
