Saint Gerard Majella

Saint Gerard Majella (1726–1755) was an Italian lay brother of the Redemptorist religious order known for his deep faith, humility, and compassion. Renowned for his gentle nature and dedication to helping others, he is especially venerated as the patron saint of expectant mothers and prenatal care. Miracles attributed to him include aiding women during childbirth and healing illnesses. Despite his short life, Gerard's sincere devotion and acts of kindness left a lasting legacy, inspiring many to live humbly and serve others with love. His feast day is celebrated on October 16th.
