Saint Ferdinand, also known as Ferdinand III of Castile, was a 13th-century king renowned for uniting and strengthening Spain through religious devotion and military success. He played a key role in the Reconquista, the effort to reclaim territory from Moorish rulers, leading to the capture of important cities like Córdoba and Seville. Ferdinand was also known for his piety, justice, and efforts to promote Christianity.
