Saint Bernadette Soubirous

Saint Bernadette Soubirous was a French peasant girl born in 1844, renowned for experiencing a series of Marian apparitions in Lourdes. In 1858, she reported seeing the Virgin Mary in a grotto, which inspired the construction of the famous Lourdes pilgrimage site. Despite her humble background, Bernadette's visions led to a global movement of faith, healing, and prayer. She eventually became a nun, dedicating her life to service and prayer. Canonized as a saint in 1933, she is remembered for her humility, faith, and the enduring significance of her divine encounters.
