Saint Andrew

Saint Andrew was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and is considered a founding saint in Christianity. Originally a fisherman, he was the brother of Peter and is known for spreading Jesus' teachings after Jesus' crucifixion. He is often associated with Scotland, where he is considered the patron saint, and his feast day is celebrated on November 30. Andrew is symbolized by the X-shaped cross, known as St. Andrew’s Cross, due to tradition that he was martyred on such a cross. He is remembered for his role in early Christian history and faith.
