Safeguarding Adults Boards (SABs)
Safeguarding Adults Boards (SABs) are collaborative groups in a community that bring together different organizations—such as social services, healthcare, and law enforcement—to work together in protecting adults from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Their main goal is to identify risks, share information, and coordinate efforts to ensure vulnerable adults receive the support and protection they need. SABs develop policies, review cases of concern, and promote awareness, all aimed at creating safer environments for adults who may be at risk due to age, disability, or other factors.
