Safe to Sleep campaign

The "Safe to Sleep" campaign, formerly known as "Back to Sleep," aims to reduce infant sleep-related deaths, particularly sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). It encourages parents and caregivers to place babies on their backs to sleep on a firm, flat surface free of loose bedding, pillows, or soft toys. The campaign also promotes safe sleep environments, such as sharing a room but not a bed with the baby, maintaining a comfortable room temperature, and avoiding smoke exposure. The goal is to create awareness about safe sleep practices to protect infants and save lives.
