Safe Sleep campaign
The Safe Sleep campaign promotes practices to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and sleep-related infant deaths. It encourages parents and caregivers to place babies on their backs to sleep, use a firm sleep surface, keep the sleep area free of soft toys, pillows, and loose bedding, and share a room with the baby but not the same bed. These guidelines are based on research to create a safer sleep environment, helping to protect infants during their most vulnerable months and promote healthy, safe sleep habits.
