Sadar-e-Riyasat
Sadar-e-Riyasat is a ceremonial position in some Indian states, especially Jammu and Kashmir, serving as the constitutional head of the state. Similar to a governor, the Sadar-e-Riyasat represents the state's authority and performs duties like granting assent to legislation and overseeing state functions. While the position holds certain responsibilities, it generally acts on the advice of the elected chief minister and council of ministers, functioning mainly in a formal and symbolic capacity to ensure constitutional compliance and stability within the state's government.
