Sápmi

Sápmi is the traditional homeland of the Sámi people, an Indigenous group in northern Europe. It spans parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia's Kola Peninsula. Known for its rich cultural heritage, reindeer herding, and unique language, Sápmi is both a geographic region and a cultural area. It has a long history of Indigenous rights and struggles for recognition, while also being an important area for Arctic ecology and Indigenous identity.
