Sídhe
The term "Sídhe" (pronounced "shee") refers to a group of supernatural beings from Irish and Scottish folklore, often called fairies or the fairy folk. These entities are believed to inhabit an unseen realm parallel to the human world, known as the "Otherworld." They are associated with natural features like hills, mounds, or ancient ruins, called "sídhe" or "hills of the faeries." While sometimes benevolent, they can also be mischievous or dangerous. The Sídhe reflect a rich mythological tradition that blurs the lines between nature, spirituality, and the supernatural.
