S-curves

An S-curve is a graph that illustrates how a project, process, or development progresses over time. Initially, growth is slow as early efforts are made. Then, as momentum builds, growth accelerates rapidly in the middle phase. Finally, it levels off as the process reaches saturation or maximum capacity. This pattern resembles the letter "S," showing slow start, rapid middle growth, and eventual stabilization. S-curves are used in project management to track progress, estimate completion, and manage resources effectively by visualizing growth and identifying points where effort yields diminishing returns.
