S. 34 of Arbitration Act

Section 34 of the Arbitration Act provides a legal framework for courts to assess whether an arbitral award can be challenged. It allows a party to apply to the court to set aside or annul an arbitral award if specific grounds are met, such as if the arbitration procedure was not fair, the dispute was outside the scope of the arbitration agreement, or the award violates public policy. Essentially, it offers a way to ensure arbitration decisions are lawful and just, but only on limited, well-defined grounds.
