Ruth (biblical figure)

Ruth is a biblical figure known for her loyalty and faithfulness. She was a Moabite woman who married an Israelite man, and after his death, chose to stay with her mother-in-law, Naomi, rather than return to her own people. Ruth’s dedication led her to work in the fields to support Naomi, eventually catching the attention of Boaz, a relative of Naomi. Their union symbolizes loyalty, kindness, and divine providence, culminating in Ruth becoming an ancestor of King David and, according to Christian tradition, part of the lineage of Jesus.
