Russian Aerospace Forces
The Russian Aerospace Forces are a branch of Russia’s military responsible for air and space operations, combining the roles of air defense, air force, and space forces. They manage military aircraft, missile systems, satellite communications, and space-based assets to defend national security, project power, and gather intelligence. Established in 2015 from the earlier Air Force, they focus on rapid response, strategic strike capabilities, and protecting Russia’s interests in the air and space domains, working alongside other military branches to ensure comprehensive defense and operational coordination.
