
Rupert Brooke
Rupert Brooke was an English poet, best known for his patriotic and lyrical poetry written during World War I. Born in 1887, he gained fame for works expressing idealism and longing, such as "The Soldier." His poetry often reflects themes of heroism, sacrifice, and love of country. Brooke's reputation grew quickly, and he became a symbol of the patriotic spirit of Britain during the war. Sadly, he died in 1915 at age 27 from septicemia while serving in the military.
