Rudolf Dassler was a German entrepreneur who founded the sportswear company Puma. Originally, he co-owned a footwear business with his brother Adolf, called Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, which produced athletic shoes. Due to a split between the brothers during World War II, Rudolf started his own brand in 1948, adopting the name Puma. His company became famous globally for its innovative athletic shoes and sponsorship of sports teams and athletes. Rudolf Dassler's work significantly influenced sports apparel, and Puma remains one of the world's leading sportswear brands today.
