Rudolf Beran

Rudolf Beran was a Czech politician who served as the Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia in the 1930s and again during World War II. He is known for collaborating with Nazi Germany, intended to protect Czechoslovakia's interests during a period of political upheaval and external pressure. Although seen as a moderate, his cooperation with the Germans remains controversial. After the war, he was imprisoned for his role and later released, living quietly until his death in 1954. Beran’s actions reflect the difficult choices faced by political leaders under extreme external threats.
