Ruddigore

Ruddigore is a comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan that humorously parodies Victorian melodramas and gothic stories. It follows the story of Sir Ruthven Murgatroyd and his descendants, who are cursed to commit a crime each day to keep their family ghost at bay. When a skeptical heir, Robin Oakapple, unexpectedly inherits the title and curse, comedic chaos ensues as he tries to escape his supposed fate.
