Ruck
A "ruck" is a common situation in rugby where players from both teams crowd around the ball on the ground after a tackle. They kneel or bend over, with teammates binding together over the ball to contest possession. The purpose of a ruck is to allow players to compete for the ball while maintaining safety and fairness, preventing opponents from immediately grabbing it. Once the ruck forms, players use their feet to try to push the ball back to their side without abandoning their binding position, enabling the team to continue attacking or defending.
