RREP (Route Reply)
A Route Reply (RREP) is a message sent in mobile ad hoc networks to inform a source device that a route to a destination is available. When a device needs to communicate with another, it broadcasts a request (RREQ). Once the request reaches a device with a valid route to the destination, that device sends back an RREP. This reply contains information about the route, such as its path and how long it takes to reach the destination. The source uses this information to establish a communication link, ensuring data can be sent efficiently across the network.
