RREF (Reduced Row Echelon Form)
Reduced Row Echelon Form (RREF) is a way to simplify a matrix (a grid of numbers) to clearly see solutions to systems of equations. In RREF, each leading entry (the first non-zero number in a row) is 1, and it is the only non-zero number in its column. The rows with solutions are ordered from top to bottom so that each leading 1 appears to the right of the one above. This form makes it easy to determine whether a system has a solution and to find that solution quickly.
