RPI Players
The RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) is a statistical measure used to evaluate college sports teams' strength, particularly in basketball, to aid in playoff and tournament selections. It considers a team's winning percentage, their opponents' winning percentage, and the opponents' opponents' winning percentage. By analyzing these factors, RPI provides an overall ranking that reflects both a team’s performance and the strength of their opponents. This helps ensure that teams are fairly compared, accounting for the difficulty of their schedules, and supports objective decision-making in tournament selections.
