RPE

RPE, or Rate of Perceived Exertion, is a subjective measure of how hard you feel your body is working during physical activity. Typically on a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is very easy (like sitting quietly) and 10 is maximum effort (such as sprinting at full speed), it helps individuals gauge exercise intensity based on their personal sense of effort, fatigue, and breathlessness. RPE is useful because it accounts for daily variations in fitness, motivation, and fatigue, allowing for personalized intensity control without relying solely on external metrics like heart rate.
