Royal Scots Greys
The Royal Scots Greys was a distinguished Scottish cavalry regiment of the British Army, established in 1861 through the merger of two historic units. Known for their striking grey horses and formal dress, they played key roles in various battles from the 18th to 20th centuries, including the Napoleonic Wars and World War II. Renowned for their discipline, bravery, and horsemanship, they adapted over time from traditional cavalry to armored units before being merged into The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in 1971. Their legacy remains a symbol of military tradition, Scottish heritage, and cavalry excellence.
