Routemaster (bus)
The Routemaster is an iconic double-decker bus that was introduced in London in the 1950s. Known for its open rear platform and classic design, it became a symbol of London transportation. The bus features a traditional, rear-engine layout with a staircase leading to a top deck, offering passengers panoramic views of the city. Designed for busy urban routes, it was celebrated for its durability and charm. Although phased out from regular service in the early 2000s, some Routemasters are preserved or used for special tours, remaining a beloved part of London's transport heritage.
