Roundtable Conference

The Roundtable Conference was a series of meetings held in India between Indian leaders and British officials from 1930 to 1932. The purpose was to discuss and negotiate constitutional reforms and greater Indian self-governance under British rule. Named for their round table discussions to promote equality among all participants, these conferences aimed to find common ground for India's future political framework. Though they did not result in immediate change, they laid the groundwork for future negotiations and movements toward independence.
