Rotator cuff tendinopathy
Rotator cuff tendinopathy is an injury or irritation of the tendons in the shoulder that connect the muscles to the bone. This condition often results from overuse, repetitive motions, or aging, leading to pain, weakness, and limited shoulder movement. The tendons can become inflamed or develop small tears, making normal arm movements uncomfortable or difficult. Treatment typically includes rest, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and sometimes injections. In more severe cases, surgery might be needed. Proper management helps restore shoulder function and reduce discomfort, allowing individuals to return to daily activities and sports.
