Roslyn Franklin
Rosalind Franklin was a pioneering scientist whose work with X-ray diffraction techniques revealed the detailed structure of DNA. Her photographs, especially Photo 51, provided critical insights into the double helix shape of the genetic material. Although her contributions were essential to discovering DNA’s structure, she did not receive the same recognition during her lifetime as her colleagues Watson and Crick. Franklin’s work significantly advanced molecular biology, helping us understand how genetic information is stored and transmitted in living organisms.
