Rosch's prototypes

Rosch's prototypes theory suggests that we categorize objects and ideas based on typical examples, or "prototypes," that we have in our minds. For instance, when we think of a "bird," we might picture a sparrow rather than a penguin or an ostrich, because the sparrow is a more common example. This approach helps us understand how we group things in our minds, where some members of a category are seen as more representative than others. It emphasizes that our understanding of concepts is often shaped by our experiences with the most typical instances of those concepts.
