Rosa Luxemborg

Rosa Luxemburg was a Polish-born Marxist theorist and revolutionary active in Germany in the early 20th century. She championed workers' rights, socialism, and democratic socialism, emphasizing the importance of mass participation and spontaneous action in social change. Luxemburg opposed authoritarian regimes and believed in revolutionary change achieved through grassroots movements rather than top-down control. Her ideas influenced socialist and communist movements worldwide, and she is remembered as an advocate for democracy, social justice, and the empowerment of workers. She was murdered in 1919 during political upheavals following Germany's World War I defeat.
