Rope types
Ropes come in various types based on their material and construction, each suited for specific tasks. Natural fiber ropes, like cotton or hemp, are traditional and biodegradable but less durable when wet. Synthetic ropes, such as nylon, polyester, and polypropylene, are stronger and more resistant to weather, UV rays, and chemicals. They differ in elasticity; nylon is stretchable, providing shock absorption, while polyester and polypropylene are more rigid. The construction, including the number of strands and twists, affects flexibility, strength, and handling. Choosing the right rope depends on the application, environment, and required strength.
