Root Certificate Authorities

Root Certificate Authorities (CAs) are trusted organizations that issue digital certificates, which verify the identity of websites and ensure secure communication. Think of them as trusted notaries that vouch for a website's legitimacy. When you visit a secure site (HTTPS), your browser checks the site's certificate against these root CAs stored in its trusted list. If the certificate is valid and issued by a recognized CA, the connection is secure.
