Romulus Augustulus

Romulus Augustulus was the last Roman emperor of the Western Roman Empire, reigning from 475 to 476 AD. His reign marked the end of the Western Empire, as he was deposed by the Germanic chieftain Odoacer, who then declared himself king of Italy. Romulus, only a teenager when he became emperor, was often considered a puppet ruler, serving under powerful military leaders. His fall symbolizes the decline of Roman power in the West and the beginning of the Middle Ages in Europe. After his overthrow, he disappeared from history, illustrating the shifting political landscape of the time.
