Romano-British
Romano-British refers to the period in Britain when it was part of the Roman Empire, roughly from AD 43 to around AD 410. During this time, the Romans established towns, roads, and infrastructure, significantly influencing local culture, economy, and society. The Romans introduced their language, architecture, and customs while also integrating with local tribes. This era saw the construction of notable sites, like Hadrian's Wall and Roman baths. After the Romans withdrew, their influence continued to shape Britain’s development, bridging the gap between pre-Roman and medieval British history.
