ROK Armed Forces
The Republic of Korea Armed Forces are South Korea’s national military, responsible for defending the country and maintaining peace. They consist of the Army, Navy (including Marine Corps), Air Force, and a Marine Corps branch. The military is well-equipped and trained to counter threats, particularly from North Korea. South Korea maintains mandatory military service for most able-bodied men, ensuring readiness. The armed forces also participate in international peacekeeping missions and collaborate with allied nations for security. Their mission is to safeguard South Korea’s sovereignty, stability, and regional security through a combination of advanced technology and strategic defense planning.
