Roentgenium (Rg)
Roentgenium (Rg) is a highly radioactive, synthetic element with the atomic number 111. It is produced artificially in laboratories and does not occur naturally. Due to its short half-life, it quickly decays into other elements, making it challenging to study. Roentgenium is part of the periodic table's group 11, which includes gold and copper, but it is much less stable and has no practical uses. Its name honors Wilhelm Röntgen, the discoverer of X-rays. Because of its instability, research focuses mainly on understanding its properties rather than applications.
