Rocky Mountain Goat

The Rocky Mountain goat is a sure-footed mammal native to North America's rugged mountainous regions, especially in the Rocky Mountains. Despite its name, it isn't a true goat but belongs to the antelope family. It has thick, white fur that helps insulate against cold temperatures and large, curved horns used for defense and dominance displays. Adapted to steep, rocky terrain, it can climb cliffs and ledges with remarkable agility. Rocky Mountain goats are herbivores, feeding mainly on grasses, mosses, and shrubs. They are well-suited to their challenging environment and are a symbol of mountain wilderness.
