
Robert Todd Lincoln
Robert Todd Lincoln was the eldest son of President Abraham Lincoln, born in 1843. He was a prominent lawyer and businessman, and he served as Secretary of War under Presidents James Garfield and Chester A. Arthur. Unlike his father, Robert Lincoln avoided politics, focusing instead on his career. He witnessed his father’s assassination but was not present at Ford’s Theatre. Throughout his life, he maintained a reputation for integrity and professionalism, and he played a significant role in preserving his father’s legacy. Robert Todd Lincoln passed away in 1926 at the age of 82.
