Robert Scott

Robert Scott was a British explorer best known for his expeditions to Antarctica in the early 20th century. He led the ill-fated Terra Nova Expedition from 1910 to 1913, aiming to be the first to reach the South Pole. Scott and his team reached the pole in January 1912, only to discover that Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen had beaten them there. Tragically, on the return journey, Scott and his men perished due to harsh conditions and lack of supplies. Scott's legacy endures as a symbol of courage and resilience in exploration, despite the tragic outcome of his journey.
