Robert H. Cormack

Robert H. Cormack was a British-American scientist renowned for his groundbreaking work in medical imaging, particularly in developing techniques for internal body scans. Along with colleagues, he contributed to the creation of computed tomography (CT) scans, a technology that allows doctors to see detailed cross-sectional images inside the body non-invasively. This innovation has vastly improved diagnosis and treatment of numerous conditions, saving countless lives.
