Robert Dowland

Robert Dowland (c. 1591–1641) was an English composer and lutenist, known for his work during the early 17th century. He was the son of John Dowland, a famous lutenist and composer. Robert published a collection of lute music called "A Musickes Hand" in 1610, which included compositions and arrangements for solo lute. His music reflects the styles of the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods, blending intricate melodies with expressive baroque elements. Though less renowned than his father, Robert Dowland contributed to early English lute music and the rich tradition of Renaissance and early Baroque instrumentation.
