Roasting process

Roasting is a heat process where coffee beans are evenly heated to develop flavor, aroma, and texture. The beans are exposed to high temperatures in a roaster, causing chemical changes such as the Maillard reaction, which creates complex flavors. As roasting progresses, beans turn from green to yellow, then brown, and finally reach a desired roast level. Proper roasting enhances sweetness, reduces bitterness, and brings out the unique characteristics of each bean. After roasting, beans are cooled quickly to stop the process, preserving their flavor until brewed.
