RNA (Royal National Organisation)

RNA, or Ribonucleic Acid, is a molecule in living cells that plays a crucial role in translating genetic information from DNA into proteins, which are essential for various biological functions. Think of DNA as an instruction manual for building and maintaining an organism, and RNA as a temporary photocopy of specific sections of this manual. This photocopy (RNA) carries the instructions from the DNA in the cell nucleus to the cell’s machinery in the cytoplasm, where proteins are assembled. In essence, RNA acts as a messenger and facilitator in the process of gene expression.
