RMS Carpathia
The RMS Carpathia was a British passenger steamship launched in 1902. It is best known for rescuing survivors from the Titanic disaster in 1912, after the Titanic sank in the North Atlantic. Despite being smaller and less powerful than some other ships, Carpathia responded quickly to distress signals, navigated through challenging conditions, and saved over 700 people. Its actions earned worldwide recognition and highlighted the importance of maritime safety and rescue operations. Carpathia continued service until World War I, when it was sunk by a German U-boat in 1918.
