The Riigikogu is Estonia’s national parliament, responsible for making laws, approving the government’s budget, and overseeing political affairs. It is a legislative body composed of 101 members elected every four years through a proportional representation system. The Riigikogu debates and votes on legislation, checks government actions, and represents the interests of Estonian citizens.
