Rigid Pavement

Rigid pavement is a type of road surface primarily made from concrete, which is hard and durable. Its strength comes from the concrete’s ability to distribute loads over a wide area, reducing stress on the underlying ground. Typically used for highways and main roads, rigid pavements offer excellent longevity and minimal surface deformation. They are constructed with large concrete slabs joined by joints to accommodate expansion and contraction. This design allows the pavement to resist heavy traffic and weather conditions effectively, resulting in a long-lasting, stable road surface that requires less maintenance over time.
