Right triangles

A right triangle is a three-sided shape with one specific angle that measures exactly 90 degrees, called a right angle. It has two shorter sides called legs that meet at this right angle, and a longer side called the hypotenuse, which is opposite the right angle. Right triangles are fundamental in geometry because they follow the Pythagorean theorem, which states that the square of the hypotenuse’s length equals the sum of the squares of the other two sides. They are commonly used in construction, navigation, and trigonometry to solve for missing distances and angles.
