Rick Deckard
Rick Deckard is a fictional character from the science fiction novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick, and its film adaptation "Blade Runner." He is a retired police officer tasked with tracking down and "retiring" (eliminating) rogue androids that are almost indistinguishable from humans. Deckard’s job challenges his perceptions of morality and what it means to be human, as he confronts complex ethical questions about artificial intelligence and empathy. His character explores themes of identity, consciousness, and the moral ambiguity inherent in a technologically advanced society.
